HOW IT WORKS

Psychotherapy Counselling Session

The first brief session will give us an opportunity to get to know each other and to ask any questions you may have about the therapeutic process.

This is a free 20-minute consultation (usually online) which will include understanding some of your immediate concerns and ensuring that the approach I take is appropriate for your needs.

I normally meet weekly with clients but will adapt according to your needs if this is not possible - sessions are 50 minutes in length and I can meet with you in-person or online. Each session fee is £75.

I work with a six weekly review which helps us to stay focused and check into the usefulness of the therapeutic process as it moves forward.

My core approach is fundamentally relational and focuses on developing a strong therapeutic alliance at a pace that works for you. I have an interest and significant experience in Buddhist and Transpersonal counselling as well as more pragmatic and strategic solution focused approaches.

I try to encourage creativity and use of the imagination in support of developing wholesome internal and external dialogue and communication. You can expect an open and non-judgmental space and a sincere focus on supporting you in a journey towards insight and relief.

By adapting my approach very specifically, intention is that you begin to feel seen and heard at depth and can begin to gain vital insight and self-awareness.

Since my initial training I have spent many years developing my knowledge and application of different modalities.

I have full BACP accreditation, and I hold bachelor’s and master’s degrees. My most recent research focused on the application of Archetypal Psychology to various contexts.

I am also a certified clinical supervisor, currently supporting fellow psychotherapists with a range of casework. This work continues to enhance my own understanding of therapeutic work.
